INDIVIDUAL THERAPY IN LOS ALAMITOS + ONLINE THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA
There can be a lot going on at once.
Anxiety gets tangled up with relationships, how much you’re carrying, changes in your body, old experiences, and everything else life has decided to bring along.
Especially in midlife.
We don’t have to sort it all out before we talk about it. We can start with what’s happening now.
Anxiety + Overthinking
Anxiety can look like constant thinking, replaying conversations, anticipating what could go wrong, or feeling unable to fully settle even when things are technically fine.
We'll get curious about what your anxiety is connected to, how you experience it in your body, and what actually helps you feel steadier when it gets loud.
Caregiving + The Mental Load
When you're used to being the person people rely on, it's easy for carrying a lot to simply become normal.
We can talk honestly about what comes with that: love and responsibility, but also exhaustion, resentment, guilt, grief, and the part of you that would really like somebody else to handle something for once.
Midlife + Identity
A lot can change in ten or twenty years. Of course you're not exactly the same woman you were when you made some of the choices that shaped your life.
We can get curious about who you are now, what still fits, what doesn't quite fit anymore, and what you want without assuming any of it means you need to reinvent yourself.
Relationships + Patterns
You can understand a pattern really well and still find yourself right back in it.
We'll look together at people-pleasing, boundaries, difficult family relationships, emotionally immature or narcissistic dynamics, and the roles you tend to fall into with other people. I want to understand not only where those patterns came from, but what happens for you when you try to do something differently.
Midlife + Perimenopause
Your body gets to be part of what we talk about.
Anxiety can get louder. Sleep can change. You may feel more reactive, overwhelmed, or simply less familiar to yourself.
Hormones may be part of what's happening, but they're happening inside an actual life. When we talk about how you're feeling, we'll also talk about your relationships, stress, history, nervous system, and everything else you're carrying.
We don't have to decide it's all hormones or pretend hormones have nothing to do with it.
Mind · Body · Inner Life
I want to know what this is like for you, not just what it's called.
My approach is whole-person and integrative. We'll talk and make connections, but we'll also notice what happens in your body, what settles you, what leaves you depleted, and the things you seem to know before you've completely found the words for them.
I use evidence-based therapy alongside mindfulness and nervous-system awareness. And if intuition, spirituality, or questions of meaning matter to you, we can bring those into the room too.
They don't have to. That door is simply open.
What therapy with me is like
This is a conversation.
I'm not going to expect you to do all the talking while I quietly nod from across the room.
I'll ask questions. I'll tell you what I'm noticing. If I see a connection, we'll talk about it. If something we've been discussing doesn't quite fit your experience, I want you to tell me that too.
There will be serious conversations, and we'll probably laugh sometimes. Most of all, I want this to feel like somewhere you can be honest enough for us to work with what's actually happening.
What are we working toward?
More peace. More trust in yourself.
I don't expect you to be happy all the time. That's not really how being a person works.
What I care about is helping you feel more grounded in yourself. Knowing your patterns. Recognizing what belongs to you and what doesn't. Trusting yourself when something feels off. Feeling more capable of staying connected to yourself when life or relationships get difficult.
That's much closer to what I mean when I talk about peace.

We don't have to know exactly where this is going yet.
You can come in with something specific you want to work on. You can also come in knowing that you haven't felt quite like yourself lately and you'd like someone to sit down with you and help you understand why.
We'll start there.
